There's now relief for a family in Sarpy County as deputies say they caught the other family that attacked them with fireworks.

We showed you the doorbell video of the assault on the fourth of July.

The victims were outside their home near 135th and Redwood streets. That's just off Harrison Street.

Five people are now in custody, but the motive is still unclear.

One of the victims tells KETV NewsWatch that he can finally stop looking over his shoulder.

But although the people who allegedly did this have now been identified, he still doesn't know who they are or why this happened.

A family out enjoying the Fourth of July was attacked, hurt by fireworks, then the fight that followed when they tried to stop the suspects.

"If you're like me or anyone else that saw that video, it makes your stomach turn. To have something like that happen, in broad daylight, family is sitting there in the driveway," said Sheriff Jeff Davis.

Davis says tips led them to another family that lives about a mile away.

Forty-year-old Jeremy Brown, a convicted felon.

Thirty-seven-year-old Brittany King and her 18-year-old son Maddix Foss.

The sheriff says they're all facing felony assault charges.

The three suspects appeared in Sarpy County court on Thursday morning and were each held on $500,000 bond. They were also ordered not to have contact with the family.

King's daughter and brown's son are also in custody, they're 11 and 13.

"I'm very happy. I'm glad," said victim Jeff O'Brien.

The attack left Jeff O'Brien and his son with extensive injuries.

O'Brien has four broken ribs and burns from a roman candle.

"Maybe we'll see some justice and get, get what they deserve. Because my son hasn't deserved what he's had to go through," O'Brien said.

His son has multiple broken bones in his face.

"He's got some recovery time yet. He's able to get back to work, but his eyes are still swollen and he has to have a lot of follow-up work done. So yeah, he's not out of the woods yet but may be able to have surgery done on his eye," O'Brien said.

The sheriff's office believes the attack was random.

O'Brien just wants to know, why them?

"I don't know who they are, I don't, but it kind of tells you what you're dealing with. Not very smart," O'Brien said.

O'Brien says he'll be there when the suspects go to court.

"I will make a point of it. Yeah, definitely," O'Brien said.

All suspects are due back in court on Thursday at 8 a.m.
